Hey guys
Have you seen the new Delirious? DVD? It's called Archive:D. It was
officially released at the end of May, but has only just made it into the
shops.
It's an impressive collection of Delirious material through the years.
Nothing much new, but a great DVD collection of songs, videos, live footage
and background.
It has on it:
- the whole of "a view from the terraces" - some of you will have this on
video
- Pro:mode - another old video of songs and behind-the-scenes stuff
- live visuals - in other words the moving graphics they show on screen
during live gigs. I'm not sure why anyone would want to watch these more
than once, but it's interesting to see them included.
- lots of song promo videos - all the classics including my favourite video
"in the pursuit of happiness", and a couple of unseen videos like "I could
sing..."
- background biographies - I was disappointed to find these were just text,
not band interviews. I don't like reading text from a TV screen, but if you
persist there's some good information here.
There's also "director's commentary" on a couple of videos which is pretty
poor.
Overall - yes, worth getting, especially if you have a DVD player.
Anyone else have any views on it?
